Gal Pal Get-Away Days

Flee to the farm

Tired of only connecting virtually? Craving some time to relax, reconnect in person, enjoy great food and drinks, and explore a serene beautiful space with your favorite friends? Want to do all of this in a socially-distanced, safe way?

Join us for a “Gal Pal Get Away” at Wicked Walnut Farms in North Branch, just north of Lapeer. We’re located just 50 minutes from downtown Flint. The goals of the day are simple—reconnect, breathe, relax with friends, enjoy the space, and great food. We’ll feature a different workshop each month for part of the day with plenty of time to wander and visit built in.

Advanced registration is required and limited to 12 people for July and August. We will provide hand sanitizer, masks, and a single-person bathroom with hand-washing. Our tables and chairs are all socially-distanced, and there is ample space to move around.

  • Registration is required and limited to 12 people.
  • $90/person

July 18 or 25

  • Mindfulness & Inner Calm Yoga Flow: Immerse yourself in being present, to listen, to practice, to discover. First, we will discuss the ‘what’ and ‘why’ of Mindfulness; set intentions to create a valuable experience; and take a moment to breathe together. Then, enjoy a delightful yoga practice designed to cultivate flexibility, reduce stress, and enhance energy. Inner Calm Yoga Flow integrates mindfulness, conscious breathwork, slow-focused movements, and longer, still poses. Your instructor will provide guidance and support throughout the sequence.  This practice will leave you feeling energized and refreshed!

We will provide sanitized mats, or you are more than welcome to bring your own.

  • Led by In2Yoga Studio of Lapeer

August 1st, 8th, or 15th

  • Make-And-Take: pick your own ingredients from our garden and make salsa! We will have a few recipes to inspire you and encourage you to get creative. Enjoy the fruits of our garden and fresh air in our outdoor make-shift kitchen set up designed to allow for socially-distanced delicious fun.

  • Led by Ellen Patnaude and Danielle Leach

2:00PM

Enjoy refreshments and snacks as you take time to relax, wander, laugh, release, interact with our animals, and otherwise reconnect with your gal pals until it’s time to say goodbye.
